Scott L. Engle Ph.D. teaches a Bible study on most Mondays. He taught a study of Philemon on Monday, 11 February 2013 at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. Paul wrote this letter himself, rather than have a scribe write it for him, to Philemon regarding Onesimus who was Philemon’s slave.

On the next three Monday nights (18 & 25 February and 04 March 2013), this class will meet in Wesley Hall rather than Piro Hall. Scott will teach an all church Bible study titled “What Christians Believe” on these three Monday nights. See http://www.standrewumc.org/connect/events-and-registration/#c9190 for a description of this study.

Monty Mills resumed his Monday Night Bible Study, following a summer recess, at The Edgemere™ (8523 Thackery. Dallas, Texas 75225) on Monday, 10 September 2012. He started a study of the Model Prayer, sometimes called the Disciples Prayer. Monty explained how it is a misnomer to call this the Lord's Prayer; this only occurs in the English language. This session covered the context of the Model Prayer. This is our Lord’s instruction to his disciples on how they should pray. Praying according to this model earns eternal reward. About 18 people were present for this study.
